In this talk I will share our latest work concerning the star-forming main sequence (SFMS) at z=3-9 using the SED fitting code Prospector to fit ~50,000 galaxies in GOODS-N and GOODS-S, based on NIRCam photometry. We measure a SFMS that is consistent with previous measurements from literature at lower redshifts, and find that the SFMS follows the gas accretion rate on to dark matter halos. We analyse the scatter of the SFMS as a function of redshift and stellar mass, and find that galaxies at the mass range studied (logMstar/Msun=8-10) have bursty star formation histories, as indicated by their short term scatter. I will discuss the implications of our findings in the context of the overabundance of UV bright galaxies observed at high-z, as well as how our results fit in the broader picture of reionisation.
