Arids 2021: the birth of a meteor shower

Meteor showers are caused by meteoroid released by comets, each entering our atmosphere and creating individual meteors. They are recognized by identifying their radiant (location in the sky where they seem to come from) or directly from their orbit. They may be predicted, provided their parent body is known. For the for time in several decades the birth of a new meteor shower was forecasted for the 7th Oct. 2021. A Chile-France collaboration allowed us to fully cover the event. First results will be presented.
