I study the chemical evolution of stellar populations in galaxies near and far. I'm particularly interested in understanding correlations between chemical abundances and other stellar physical properties, such as the current star formation rate. To extract such physical information, I use diverse techniques, from traditional spectral fitting to machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision trees). Currently, I'm developing the Data Reduction Pipeline for the Loval Volume Mapper, an SDSS-V mapper focused on understanding the interplay between nebular emission and the underlying stellar populations in star-forming regions within the Milky Way and local volume galaxies.
